New Orleans has a new kind of SpeakEasy, and it offers more than mere drinks (though there will be those, too). Join WWNO and Chickie Wah Wah on the last Thursday of each month for a new series devoted to casual discussions of topics of interest to the region.
It’s a great way to meet New Orleanians as well as other WWNO listeners and some of the voices you hear on the air every day.
This month’s SpeakEasy takes place Thursday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at Chickie Wah Wah. Join WWNO’s General Manager Paul Maassen as he moderates a discussion on environmental concerns that impact the Gulf Coast, Southeastern Louisiana and far beyond. The panel includes Pulitzer Prize-winning environmental journalist Bob Marshall and Louisiana State Director from the National Wildlife Federation’s Coastal Louisiana Campaign David Muth.
It’s free and it’s open to all.
