On Saturday, the New Orleans Fairgrounds hosted a near-record crowd at the 100th edition of the Louisiana Derby. Attendees donned their best head-wear to see if local trainer Tom Amoss’ Mylute would earn the automatic Kentucky Derby bid promised to the winning horse. In the end, however, it was Florida-based Todd Pletcher’s Revolutionary piloted by jockey Javier Castellano took home the victory by a neck.
