Editor’s Note: We always do things a bit differently in the south, and Christmas is no exception. Alligators lead Santa’s sleigh, Mr. Bingle is still more popular than Frosty, and we have our own version of “The [Cajun] Night Before Christmas.” Here’s a reading of this swampy, timeless classic read by Jules d’Hemmecourt.
