Fearless and exploratory, the four abundantly talented and outside-the-box musicians who make up New Orleans’ newest band (Mike Dillon, James Singleton, Johnny Vidacovich and Brian Haas) have played together countless times in various outfits and Nolatet is a brand new sonic machine. The two gigs on Sunday at Snug Harbor will stand as an official album release for their debut album Dogs (out 2/26/16 on Royal Potato Family label). It’s always great to see an early show option on a Sunday and Nolatet should serve up a wildly adventurous and jazzy close to the final weekend in February.
